Welcome to St Nicholas Church of England Primary School
'Our Christian Community growing and learning together'
Laura Williams
Headteacher On behalf of our Christian community, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our school website.
St Nicholas CE Primary School, is a caring and successful school, focused on "Our Christian community growing and learning together". We encourage every member of our community to grow in character and faith through our Christian values of Hope, Courage, Friendship, Compassion, Humility and Endurance. "It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants." (Mark 4:31-32)
The school's vision is inspired by the parable of the mustard seed in Mark's Gospel, reminding us that even the smallest beginnings can grow into something strong, purposeful and life giving. We want to inspire in all our children a deep sense of imagination, and equip them with the knowledge and confidence to develop their fullest God-given potential and be the difference to make the world a better place.
As a school community we are fully committed to our Christian ethos, which underpins our daily lives in and out of school. As the Headteacher, I am proud and privileged to lead a distinctly Christian school. The staff are fully committed to delivering a broad and balanced curriculum, which champions knowledge, independence, innovation, creativity and resilience.

Aquinas
Church of England Education Trust
At Aquinas, we work together so that our learners have an exceptional education; one where individuality is celebrated, talents are nurtured and progress is sustained from early years to Post 16.
Established in 2013, the Trust was founded as a natural development of positive relationships built between neighbouring Church of England schools; initially in the Bromley area. In November 2018, we added two community schools to our family, Rye College and Rye Community Primary School and in March 2025 a further community school, Robertsbridge Community College, joined the Trust; these three schools are based in East Sussex.
